Item must:
- be a fixed cattle handling system
- form a handling system which provides a safe holding area and race-way handling facility to attach to a cattle crush
- have a minimum of two fixed holding pens
- have a circular forcing pen with an internal radius of between 2.4m and 5m and sides covered in a smooth material such as plastic or metal sheeting to stop cattle from seeing out - forcing pen must lead into a straight or a curved race that is a minimum of 3m in length and has covered sides
- include either a sliding closure, guillotine, or twin gate fitted at both ends of the race leading to a crush - sliding closure, guillotine, or twin gate must be operated from outside of the race
- be primarily made of metal – wooden rails within the fixed race with a minimum cross section of 150mm x 100mm are permitted
- have an anti-slip rubber surface on any metal flooring
- be fixed to the ground by concreting the supporting post into the ground or by bolting into an existing concrete floor
Ferrous metal must be galvanised or powder coated.
Items with wooden elements other than wooden rails are not eligible.
Painted items are not eligible.
Handling system does not include a crush - a crush cannot be claimed as part of this item.
If the crush you use with the race already has a sliding gate, you only need to buy one sliding gate for the race.
