Bonanza Shine Ewe-reka has been developed specifically for lamb rearing. Unlike many conventional lamb milk replacers that use ingredients derived from cow's milk, Ewe-reka incorporates whey products sourced from ewe's milk, a distinctive feature of its formulation.

The ewe's milk whey ingredients are obtained from the production of sheep's milk cheeses. Bonanza uses these ingredients to produce a lamb milk replacer intended to more closely resemble the milk lambs would naturally receive from their mothers.

Bonanza states that ewe's milk-derived ingredients contain naturally occurring antibodies associated with sheep. The manufacturer identifies these as a benefit of its formulation. However, Ewe-reka should not be regarded as a replacement for colostrum or as a treatment or prevention for infectious disease.

The formulation also contains a five-fat blend, including coconut-derived fat, together with yeast and plant extracts. Bonanza describes these ingredients as supporting digestion and helping to reduce digestive problems such as bloat. These are manufacturer-stated formulation benefits rather than guarantees that digestive disorders will not occur.

With its characteristic ewe's milk aroma and flavour, Ewe-reka is designed to encourage acceptance by lambs moving onto artificial feeding. This can be particularly relevant when rearing orphaned or surplus lambs that need to learn to drink from a teat.

The published nutritional analysis lists 23% protein and 25% fat, providing a useful reference when comparing lamb milk replacers and planning a feeding programme.

Ewe-reka can be prepared using warm or cold water. The manufacturer's wider product information identifies both instant and Freeflow options, with Ewe-reka Freeflow separately marketed for automatic feeding systems. Customers using automatic feeders should check that they are purchasing the correct formulation for their equipment.

Available in 4.5kg, 10kg and 20kg manufacturer-listed pack sizes, Bonanza Shine Ewe-reka offers options for different lamb-rearing requirements.

Feeding guidance: Ensure newborn lambs receive adequate, timely colostrum before introducing milk replacer. Always follow the feeding and mixing instructions on the actual product packaging, maintain feeding equipment hygiene and provide fresh drinking water.
