Bonanza Ewe-reka Freeflow is developed for the artificial rearing of lambs, with a formulation specifically intended for automatic feeding systems.

The product contains whey products sourced from ewe's milk, including ingredients obtained as by-products of sheep's milk cheese production. Bonanza uses these milk-derived ingredients as a distinguishing feature of the Ewe-reka range.

Designed for Automatic Lamb Feeders

Ewe-reka Freeflow is the automatic-feeder version of Bonanza's Ewe-reka lamb milk replacer. It is intended for farms using automatic milk feeding equipment to rear orphaned, surplus or artificially reared lambs.

Bonanza identifies suitability for automatic feeders as a key feature of Freeflow. The manufacturer's product information does not specify compatibility with individual feeder brands or models, so customers should check their equipment manufacturer's requirements.

Ewe's Milk-Derived Ingredients

Bonanza states that its Ewe-reka formulation uses whey products derived from ewe's milk. These ingredients originate from sheep's milk used in cheese production.

The manufacturer also highlights naturally occurring antibodies associated with ewe's milk. However, milk replacer should not be regarded as a replacement for adequate colostrum or as a means of preventing or treating disease.

Feeding and Preparation

A 2024 Scotmin product guide lists a mixing rate of 200g of Ewe-reka Freeflow powder made up to one litre with water, and states that it can be mixed using warm or cold water.

Always follow the instructions on the current product packaging and the operating guidance for your automatic feeder, as feeding concentrations, equipment settings and lamb requirements must be managed appropriately.

Ensure newborn lambs receive adequate, timely colostrum before milk replacer feeding. Maintain good hygiene throughout the preparation, feeding and cleaning process, and provide fresh drinking water.
