• Full pallet option: 60 individual 20kg bags.

• Skim-based milk replacer containing low-heat skim milk, buttermilk and sweet whey.

• 20% protein, according to published product information.

• Suitable for dairy and beef calves.

• Designed for once-a-day feeding after day 28, with twice-daily feeding also supported by the published programme.

• Direct-from-supplier delivery for both bulk-buy quantities.

Bonanza Shine Original is developed to support the artificial rearing of dairy and beef calves. Its formulation uses milk-derived ingredients, including low-heat skim milk, buttermilk and sweet whey.

The low-heat skim milk component is intended to support curd formation in the calf's abomasum, allowing milk proteins to be digested over time. This is particularly relevant to Bonanza's once-a-day feeding approach, which provides the daily milk powder allowance in a smaller volume of prepared milk.

Bonanza promotes Shine Original for calf-rearing systems where farmers want to reduce the time spent preparing and distributing milk. The manufacturer reports labour savings from once-a-day feeding and describes potential improvements in dry-feed intake and weaning management. These outcomes depend on the complete feeding programme and farm conditions rather than being guaranteed by the powder alone.

Shine Original is not restricted to once-a-day feeding. Bonanza states that it is suitable for different feeding methods, while the Scotmin guide provides separate mixing guidance for twice-daily and once-daily feeding.

For farms rearing larger groups of calves, this bulk listing offers two purchasing options:

600kg – 30 × 20kg Bags

A bulk quantity of Shine Original comprising 30 individual 20kg bags, giving a total of 600kg of calf milk replacer.

1.2 Tonne Full Pallet – 60 × 20kg Bags

A full-pallet quantity containing 60 individual 20kg bags, giving a total of 1,200kg.

Both options contain the same Shine Original calf milk replacer and are intended for farms requiring larger quantities for their calf-rearing programmes.

Bulk Delivery Information

Both quantities are delivered directly from the supplier rather than dispatched from our branch stock. This listing is exclusively for 600kg and 1.2 tonne bulk orders.

Feeding Information

The 2024 Scotmin guide describes Shine Original as a follow-on milk replacer and publishes a programme involving twice-daily feeding during the first 28 days, followed by the option of once-a-day feeding.

The guide specifies 125g powder made up to one litre for twice-daily feeding and 200g powder made up to one litre for once-a-day feeding after day 28. These are published reference rates, not a substitute for the current product label or a calf-specific feeding plan.

Calves must receive adequate, timely colostrum after birth. Fresh drinking water, suitable calf starter feed and straw should remain available, and calves should continue to be checked at least twice daily even when milk is fed once a day.

Bonanza Shine Original Calf Milk Replacer is available in 600kg (30 × 20kg bags) and 1.2 tonne (60 × 20kg bags, full pallet) bulk quantities. This skim-based calf milk replacer contains low-heat skim milk, buttermilk and sweet whey and is suitable for dairy and beef calves. Developed for flexible calf-rearing programmes, including once-a-day milk feeding after day 28, Shine Original is supplied in individual 20kg bags with direct-from-supplier delivery.
